(Nasdaq:CORI), a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development, manufacture and commercialization of specialty transdermal products, announced today that it intends to offer shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Corium also expects to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of its common stock offered in the public offering. All of the shares will be offered and sold by Corium.
Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering. The offering is subject to market and other conditions and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
Corium intends to use the net proceeds from this offering for product development and general corporate purposes, which may include funding research and development, increasing its working capital, reducing indebtedness, acquisitions or investments in businesses, products or technologies that are complementary to its own and capital expenditures.
